Join PADI Instructor and yoga teacher, Isabel, as she guides you through your Open Water certification from a unique yogic lens. She weaves elements of mindfulness and breathwork into the course, helping you cultivate a calm, self-assured approach and a deeper connection with the ocean and yourself.

The trip begins in Cartagena with a transfer to the stunning Islas de Rosario, where you will complete all your pool dives and your four open water dives in a Caribbean coral national park. This 2-day, 1-night trip will leave you PADI certified for life and ready to dive into two different oceans in less than 10 days—the Caribbean and the Pacific- if you choose to join us on Pacific Coast Colossals right after!

Islas del Rosario

Imagine learning to dive in a tranquil Caribbean paradise, just a one-hour boat ride from the historic city of Cartagena. The Rosario Islands are a designated national park, offering crystal-clear, warm water and vibrant coral reefs perfect for beginners. The peaceful island environment lets you focus completely on your training, while the colorful local culture and serene atmosphere provide the perfect backdrop for a true getaway.

Path to Certification

  1. Knowledge Development: You'll complete the theoretical portion of the course at your own pace through PADI's online eLearning platform. This means you'll spend less time in a classroom and more time enjoying the sun and sea.

  2. Confined Water Dives: Under the guidance of your PADI Instructor, you'll practice and master essential scuba skills in calm, shallow waters. The serene conditions of the Rosario Islands are ideal for building confidence and comfort with your gear before we head out to deeper waters.

  3. Open Water Dives: This is where the real adventure begins! Over the course of four open water dives, you will apply the skills you've learned while exploring the magnificent reefs of the Rosario Islands. You'll dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet) and encounter the incredible marine life that calls this park home.

Itinerary

  • We will meet in Cartagena at a later specified dock location at 8 am. Together, we depart for the Rosario Islands just one hour away by boat. Upon arrival, we will get right to it! We will head straight to the pool for our confined water dives. From there, we go for our first and exciting open water dive, followed by lunch, and then dive number 2. Aside from dinner together, the late afternoon and evening is yours to relax, unwind, and explore. We will stay on property at Cocoliso Island Resort.

  • We'll meet early on the 29th for breakfast and then head to the pool to finish up our confined dives. Then we head out for dives 3 and 4 and bam! You're a certified PADI diver. We will have a celebratory lunch and then head out on the 3 pm boat back to the city.

Cancellation Policy

Please note our refund and cancellation policy: Refunds can be returned up to 45 days before the event start date, March 14, 2026 (not including the $500 non-refundable deposit). As of March 15th, we are unable to return refunds due to arrangements already set in place with airlines, dive operators, and other parties. All payments are due 30 days before the event start date, March 28, 2026. In the event of cancellation on the organizers’ part, a full refund will be given.
